has anyone been sectioned before…?

I am being ‘threatened’ with being sectioned unless my condition improves.

My head is in so many different places :(

Signal boost. If anyone has any info to help out, please share.

Also can we just talk for a moment about how using the threat of ‘involuntary’ (i.e. forced) hospitalization as some sort of motivation to recover is so fucked up. Like, ‘Oh, I’ll just magically get better now then, cool. Thanks for that.’

I’ve been (involuntarily) hospitalized many times, and it’s pretty awful. Threatening that is indeed extremely fucked up and counterproductive but if it comes down to that, the best way to ensure getting out as soon as you can is compliance. Talk to administration and fellow patients, since that’s a good sign. Contribute to group activities and therapy, etc. Though best of all, be honest. You’re in there, and if you need the help, let them help you as best as they can. You might even meet some cool people there.

And the worst thing you can do is hide yourself in your room and sleep all day. It may sound tempting and hell, I’ve done it, but that just tells the doctors that you need to stay longer.

Good luck and I hope you feel better. <3

Thanks for taking the time to offer some advice. Reblogging so that others in the same position might be able to see it.
