I thought I would update this post with a summary of some of the responses I’ve had to it, because nearly 300 people and counting have reacted to the post in some way…

Reblogging because I think this is SO incredibly important. I have dealt with many of these issues myself. When I think back on the times I was accused of “attention seeking” behavior, I was begging for someone to offer help, love, compassion… even though I couldn’t have voiced that then. It’s just so sad and so complicated. I think we need to be more compassionate and more careful with our conduct, and we need to teach the kids and teens in our society to do the same. To anyone still struggling, I love you. <3
