Because ‘we’ in this context are readers of someone’s blog. I fail to see how anyone can designate another person as ‘mentally ill’, ‘hypochondriac’ or ‘attention seeking’* on the basis of a blog: anything designated is conjecture at best… and how necessary is it for us to ‘diagnose’ others anyway, especially when many of these others are perfect strangers?
*not my phrase: I could write a whole other post on the negative connotations surrounding ‘attention seeking’ and how messed up they are
