I was hospitalized on an inpatient unit when I was 13 and 14, best/worst experience of my life. I'm 24 now and just finished a year internship as a student therapist on an adolescent inpatient unit. I encourage anyone who experienced the mental health field as a patient to do so as a professional if they desire to do so. You see the strengths and weaknesses of the field more than most
