The National Coalition for the Homeless estimates as much as 40% of the 500,000 to 1.6 million homeless youths (in the USA) are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. So her project is called Forty to None.

One future goal I’ve considered is organizing a shelter specifically for homeless queer kids, including programs about transitioning, puberty, pregnancy and STI prevention. I mean, I know that’s a big-ass goal, but, seriously, FORTY PERCENT.

That sounds like an amazing goal.
